This class fills fast.
a small group of advanced actors came to me with a very specific request:
“Would you lead an intensive scene study—focused solely on August Wilson?”
I said yes.
What unfolded was a powerful experience. The work was deep, the room was generous and disciplined, and the scenes carried real weight. It was clear early on that this wasn’t just another class, it was a shared commitment to language, listening, and truth. By the end, the response was unanimous: this work should continue.
So this January, I’m offering the class again.
I’ve worked with Lloyd Richards and August Wilson, and I’ve taught this material in academic and professional settings. But this class exists because artists asked for it, and because the work proved meaningful when we did it together.
This is for actors who feel a genuine connection to August Wilson’s writing and are ready to engage it with care, rigor, and humility. We’ll work in a small room, with time, attention, and respect for the process. No posturing. No rushing. Just committed actors doing honest work.
We’re keeping it small.
Focused.
Intentional.
If this resonates with you, and you feel ready for an advanced, intimate working room, I invite you to join us.
Enrollment is limited to maintain the integrity of the work.
Tuition is $500, with a $250 deposit required to hold your place.
Signing up will signal me to give you the details on how to pay and secure your spot.
If you know this is the right moment for you, I’d love to have you in the room.
